February 16, 2012. New York.
It really seems like American designer Ralph Lauren wants to go back to basics.
For the Fall Winter collection 2012 he has presented today in New York there's no doubt he wanted to take inspiration from the past, and especially from the first women collection he created in 1971.
That is why we see very tailored and masculine shapes of the shirts and high-wasted trousers, with reference to the sport the designer has always loved: Polo.
For what concearns the colours, there's a lot of brown and grey but the very protagonist of the show was black. black mixed with gold, red and magenta.
I personally love the collection, especially the long dresses in black and gold.
I appreciate the use of magenta and red, together with the polo-inspiration.
what do you guys think about it?
Xx
