HAIDER ACKERMANN FW 2012 READY TO WEAR COLLECTION.

COMME DES GARÇONS. PARIS FW 2012

It does not sound as something new that COMME DES GARÇONS Collection 

generates astonishment, 

as the creative director of the brand Rei Kawakubo 

manages to shock the public runway after runway.

However, for the FW Collection presented at the Paris Fashion Week on the 3rd of March, 

Kawakubo has given a new shape to her women.

and this is all about "tri-dimensionality". 

 

Every coat, dress and trouser shows its best in the three dimensions, 

giving models a structured shape and gentle appeal at the same time. 

The most representative side of the show was the combination of colours of the coats, 

such as the yellow and orange one

and the mix of different patterns - camo, leopard, florals and polka dots. 

As if it was a fancy dressing party

(not only for the choice of using red, yellow and shocking pink wigs); 

it seems in fact that Kawakubo's women this season want 

to be in the middle of the stage and surprise people around them.

PARIS FASHION WEEK: KENZO.

This season KENZO turned out to be the hottest and most powerful show on the Parisian calendar.

Thanks to the creativity of Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, the brand has been able to renew itself in a way that we hadn't seen for years.

A big stress in tailoring is seen in coats and high-waisted skirts.
Amazing mix of wool and leather for boots and shoes.  

A lot of knitwear, perfectly combined with silk and leather.
The coats are perfectly matched with the other garments, thanks to the different shades of olive green, orange, yellow and blue and red.

Grazie alla creatività di Humberto Leon e di Carol Lim, il marchio ha saputo rinnovarsi come non succedeva da anni. 
Un forte richiamo alla sartoria si nota nella confezione di cappotti e delle gonne a vita alta. 
Magnifico mix di lana e pelle per scarpe e stivali. 
Molta maglieria in lana, ben combinata con seta e pelle. 
I cappotti si abbinano magnificamente con gli altri capi, grazie alle sfumature di verde oliva, arancio, giallo e blu e rosso.

MILAN FASHION WEEK: DSQUARED²

High School Prom as the inspiration for DSQUARED² FW2012 Collection, presented yesterday at Milan Fashion Week. 

Although the Caten brothers often make their women look like bad girls, this is not the case: 

chic and elegant high school students going ready to party with their mates. 

Come ispirazione per la collezione FW2012, presentata ieri alla Settimana della Moda Milanese, DSQUARED² ha scelto il Ballo di Fine Anno.

Nonostante i fratelli Caten siano soliti vestire donne dall' aria un po' cattiva, questa volta hanno voluto cambiare rotta: 

studentesse chic e eleganti pronte a festeggiare con i propri ragazzi.

NY FASHION WEEK: RALPH LAUREN

It really seems like American designer Ralph Lauren wants to go back to basics.
For the Fall Winter collection 2012 he has presented today in New York there's no doubt he wanted to take inspiration from the past, and especially from the first women collection he created in 1971.
That is why we see very tailored and masculine shapes of the shirts and high-wasted trousers, with reference to the sport the designer has always loved: Polo.
For what concearns the colours, there's a lot of brown and grey but the very protagonist of the show was black. black mixed with gold, red and magenta.

NY FASHION WEEK: KIMBERLY OVITZ

Kimberly Ovitz at the New York Fashion week has presented an entire collection inspired, as she revealed, by warriors and vengeful heroines. 

The main colour of the collection is therefore black, but we' ve seen some hints of brown and dark reds. 

I appreciate the choice of plain colours, the use of leather and fur.

Kimberly Ovitz ha presentato alla settimana della moda di New York la sua nuova collezion totalmente ispirata, come lei stessa ha rivelato, i guerrieri e alle eroine dall' indole vendicatrice. 

Il colore principale della collezione è dunque il nero, ma si sono anche visti degli accenni di marrone e rossi scuri. 

Apprezzabile la scelta delle tinte unite, dell' uso della pelle e della pelliccia.
