The inspiration for the show was anything but pseudo-science. 

Mabille was inspired by a photograph of iconic model Lisa Fonssagrives on a beach, her face suffused with pink from the sunlight coming through her umbrella. A more recent picture of Christy Turlington by Patrick Demarchelier also provided a bit of background.

L' ispirazione per la sfilata è solo la pseudo-scienza.

Mabille è stata ispirata da uno scatto dell' iconica modella Lisa Fonssagrives ritratta in una spiaggia,  con il viso colorato di rosa riflesso dalla luce del sole che era filtrata dal suo ombrello. Anche uno scatto più recente di Christy Turlington, scattata da Patrick Demarchelier, ha garantito una certa ispirazione.

JOHN GALLIANO for ZARA

Rumours are that top designer John Galliano has designed a line for Zara. 

Inditex group would have already signed a contract with Galliano for a capsule collection to sell in selected Zara stores. The launch should be scheduled approximately for February, right before the launch of Marni capsule collection for H&M.

Voci di corridoio dicono che lo stilista John Galliano ha disegnato una linea di abbigliamento per Zara.

Il gruppo Inditex dovrebbe aver gia firmato un contratto con Galliano per una capsule collection presto in vendita in negozi Zara selezionati. Il lancio dovrebbe essere fissato per il mese di Febbraio, proprio prima del lancio della linea Marni per H&M.

My only concern is about the prices, will they be too high?

Brian Burkhardt

Brian Burkhardt is a fashion forward designer that is becoming famous for his partecipation to American TV Show Project Accessory (and he won!). 
He is a graduate of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and uses his sculpting background in the creation of his jewelry. Burkhardt is co-owner of the jewelry company Triian, with wife and fellow sculptor Trisha Brookbank.

Brian Burkhardt è un designer innovativo che sta diventando famoso grazie alla sua partecipazione al programma Americano Project Accessory (e ha pure vinto!). 
Si è laureato alla School of the Museum of Fine Arts  a Boston (US) e sfrutta la sua formazione da scultore per la creazione dei suoi gioielli. Burkhardt è co-proprietario di un' azienda di gioielli dal nome Triian insieme a sua moglie e la scultrice Trisha Brookcank.

Italian designer Gianbattista Valli has created a capsule collection for Macy's that has made his debut some days ago in New York together with the advertising campain signed by Inez Lamswerde and Vinodh Matadin.

The collection is in selected stores already and for the launch of the line last week in New York,the special guest was actress Olivia Palermo from the tv show The City.

For its 20th Anniversary, Christian Laboutin has decided to launch a book that shows the story of the brand itself, together with images of the most iconic shoes that have managed to break the rules of fashion. A real celebration of two decades of innovation and glamor.

To celebrate the arrival of the book, 20 pairs of exclusive limited-edition 20th Anniversary shoes have come to join Barneys in Madison Avenue, New York.

Adding to their allure, each pair will be personally autographed by Christian Louboutin himself. 

Price: $ 3995 a pair.





The book is available online  at the price of $150. a bit expensive, I know. but for such an incredible book I guess it's worth.

GARETH PUGH

Described as visionary, futurist and sometimes over-the-limit, the English designer Gareth Pugh has shown, through his collections, how hard is working and how he's grown in the last few years. 

Starting his carreer as as a costume designer for the English National Youth theatre at the very early age of 14 years old,  finished his degree in Fashion Design at Central Saint Martins in 2003. His talent has shown at once, when his final collection at St. Martins attracted the attention of the fashion editor of Dazed and Confused who placed one of his designs on the magazine's cover. Thanks to that Pugh reached immediate popolarity and was selected to participate in British reality show The Fashion House two months after his graduation. 

Pugh's first solo premiere was in Fall's London 2006 fashion week and since then he has started working as designer at large. 

He had the opportunity to dress Kylie Minogue in her Showgirl - The Greatest Hits Tour, followed by Showgirl - The Homecoming Tour.

But Kylie is not the only star wearing Pugh's outfits: Beyoncé wore Pugh at the MTV Europe Awards in 2008, and for her Diva video. Singer Lady Gaga recently wore a jacket designed by Pugh at the Wango Tango concert 2009 and many other pieces.
