Described as visionary, futurist and sometimes over-the-limit, the English designer Gareth Pugh has shown, through his collections, how hard is working and how he's grown in the last few years. 

Starting his carreer as as a costume designer for the English National Youth theatre at the very early age of 14 years old,  finished his degree in Fashion Design at Central Saint Martins in 2003. His talent has shown at once, when his final collection at St. Martins attracted the attention of the fashion editor of Dazed and Confused who placed one of his designs on the magazine's cover. Thanks to that Pugh reached immediate popolarity and was selected to participate in British reality show The Fashion House two months after his graduation. 

Pugh's first solo premiere was in Fall's London 2006 fashion week and since then he has started working as designer at large. 

He had the opportunity to dress Kylie Minogue in her Showgirl - The Greatest Hits Tour, followed by Showgirl - The Homecoming Tour.

But Kylie is not the only star wearing Pugh's outfits: Beyoncé wore Pugh at the MTV Europe Awards in 2008, and for her Diva video. Singer Lady Gaga recently wore a jacket designed by Pugh at the Wango Tango concert 2009 and many other pieces.

Valentino Clemente Ludovico Garavani (1931; -) is probably one of the most iconic fashion designers of all times. 

Perhaps the word designer is a bit reductive, since he is and has always been a couturier, aspect that have made him very famous worldwide from the very early age of the beginning of his carrier.

His fashion study background comes from both Milan, where he started studying at the Scuola di Figurino at a very early age, and most of all from Paris, where he attended the Ecole de La Chambre Syndacale.

In 1959 opens his first atelier in Rome and begins lateron his collaboration with Giancalrlo Giammetti, that will follow and direct Valentino Fashion Group from that time on.

The reason why he probably became that notorious, apart from being such a good designer and couturier, has to be seen on the great amount of stars and fashion icons that he dressed during his whole carrier, starting from Jacqueline Kennedy, Brighitte Bardot, Jane Fonda and many other more. 

Moreover, since the very beginning of his carrier til present, he has used a particular kind of red colour that is now famous as rosso valentino and that cannot be used by other designers. 

In December 2007 he left fashion, commemorating his massive carrier with a huge celebration that took place in Rome a couple of months earlier, that celebrated his 45th year of carrier. 

Over 600 famous people and collaborators were invited, and had the opportunity to attend a spectacular show and exposition of Valentino's remarkable dresses. 

The outstanding carrier of the designer has beeing film by Matt Tyrnauer under the name of Valentino: The Last Emperor.

Because yes, he was and emperor.
